A cup of water can quench the thirst of the poor but a pack of food will turn their hearts to praise the Almighty God. Let’s not keep our love of God to ourselves, let’s bless with an overflowing bundance portion to those that are in need.

Proverbs 3:27 ~ Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, When it is in the power of your hand to do so

It is our duty to help those in need and to share what we have with the poor and needy. In doing so this favor is pleasing to our Father God when we help the poor because He has commanded that their poverty be supplied by the plenty and abundance that He has given to others, for as in us to share.

Psalm 82:3-4 ~ Defend the poor and fatherless; Do justice to the afflicted and needy. Deliver the poor and needy; Free them from the hand of the wicked

This is exactly what transformed the community of Matagalpa as God Almighty Himself used Aqua de Vida in a 2 week revival through speaking at 4 different church’s, one alone where 10 men gave their lives to Christ Jesus, food pantries that served over 500 kids with a hot meal plus blessing each one with a love package ( filled with English/Spanish Scripture coloring book/crayons, toothbrush/toothpaste, 1lb. Of rice, drinking cup with a smile on it), continuing working with construction on two churches, one is with concrete floors so the people can come together to worship, praise, fellowship. The other is adding more materials to work on the classroom that will help mentor and love on the kids in the community which now has no school close by.

God is not a God of not knowing. He knows that there’s a tendency to exploit the weak. He demands that his people disciple in a way that protects the vulnerable. Not only is repairing water wells/drilling new ones when its possible important and vital here but also is the never-ending waters of our Father God. We are all called to serve in many ways, many forms, many fashions, I personally would not be here on this foreign land if it was not for people like you who recieved the touch from God, the Holy Spirit to plant seeds of faith. Now as a family ministry, we can not close our eyes and hearts to the poverty that exists. We have to try and found ways to maintain a balance of give and take while still advancing the kingdom of God, one well at a time, one kid at a time, one parent at a time, one community at a time.

Have you ever asked yourself what gives a person value? I know the thought has crossed my mind on the mission field. Our thoughts should be nothing beyond the fact that they were created in God’s image and are worth going to the cross to redeem. On this trip we was able to minister to over 400 kids who now as the chance within to gain that hope and love from God that was beaconed out through us. I don’t feel I’m personally a wonderful man with powers, I feel that I am a man who daily searches with an open heart to serve God who has taken me from nothingness in my mind and heart to fullness of His redemption. All should have this opportunity to feel what I feel, to feel what you feel, from young to old. Over 8 men gave their lives to Christ one night as the Lord spoken through me and my translator. Other nights more bowed down to the grace and mercy of our Father God. As I take a deep breathe to clear my thoughts of all that transformed here, I can go on and on about God’s light will shine through us Christians as long as us Christians shine the light high above the table.

Matthew 6:26 ~ God doesn’t turn a blind eye towards the poor. He sees them and knows them by name. If He provides for the lowly birds of the fields, He certainly cares for those created in His image

As we move forward here in Nicaragua spreading the love of Jesus and repairing water wells. We want to take this opportunity to say thank you for the partnerships here, thank you for the prayers, and thank you for the support and love to me and my family. In the next upcoming months, we will be involved in 3 major projects.

  • Repairing a water well at a school/community in the Santa Martha area that will supply over 50 students a day plus the surrounding homes with fresh clean water.
  • Digging trenches and laying down tubing at the school in El Guayabal. This is a school that Aqua de Vida Ministry has been involved with for 5 years. The last we did was getting electricity here.
  • Our first VBS in the city of Esteli where over 1000s of kids will be searching for hope

If your heart is led to help with one of these projects, it would be a great blessing for us to continue to grow in discipleship and love for the people here in Nicaragua.
